New Web Site for Avery Dennison is Launched
November 6, 2006 A collaboration between Fishnet NewMedia and Devine & Pearson Commuications culminated today in the launch of a new Web site for Avery Dennision. The site was designed by Devine & Pearson and architected by Fishnet NewMedia for production in Ektron's CMS content management system. The Web site, databases and applications are hosted by Fishnet NewMedia in their secure collocation facility.
Avery wanted a new site that better reflected the mission and objectives of their Fastener Division - and they wanted it built with a user-friendly and intuitive content management system so that internal resources could make updates and enhancements themselves.
The initial implementation of the site is in English, but Avery's Fastener Division is international in scope so the site will be available soon in multiple languages. The template-based architecture engineered by Fishnet and the flexibility of Ektron CMS gives control of the internationalization effort to Avery's own resources around the globe who are busily translating and building the language versions of the Web site by logging into Ektron CMS from their own offices.
