Will I have to install special software on my computer so that I can use the Administrator utility of AHOY.COM solutions?

No. All AHOY.COM solutions are built on Web technology so all you need is a Web browser - either Internet Explorer (5.5 or greater) or Netscape 7.0 (or greater) are recommended.

What if I get an error attempting to login to the administration area?

First check to make certain that you have a good internet connection. If you do have a good connection, check to make sure that you have provided the correct username and password - remember, usernames and passwords are CASE SENSITIVE.

When I upload a .jpg file the image does not display.

The Web does not support .jpg images in CMYK color format - the format must be RGB. If you uploaded a .jpg image file and see an "x" where the image should be placed, your image is most likely formatted as CMYK. In order to change the format you will have to make the change within your photo editor.

I get an error when uploading an image. What should I do?

If you get an error when uploading an image the first thing to do is verify that it is formatted correctly. Also check the file name. File names can only contain letters, numbers, underscores or hyphens. Other characters are not permitted. If you are using a Macintosh make sure that the extension is turned on.

How do I change the main calendar to display a new month?

On the first day of each month the main calendar page updates to display the new month's events.

Can I designate a person to only events relevant to that person or company?

Yes. Each event within the Calendar Database has a designated Event Maintainer who can modify the event record. The eCalendar Administrator can maintain all events in the database.

Will visitors to my Web site be able to search for a specific event that is on my calendar?

Yes. Our eCalendar solution includes a helpful search feature. All words within the events on your calendar are indexed and searchable. Search results can be narrowed by specifying a category and by month/year.

Can I use HTML within the event profile?

Yes. Properly formatted HTML can be used within the Event Description.

When visitors register for an event they enter information into a form. Where is all that information sent?

When someone fills out a registration form their information is sent via email to the individual who was designated the contact for that event.

How is an event that spans several days displayed on the calendar?

The event is displayed on each day.

Will visitors to my Web site be able to tell the difference between the types of events on my calendar?

Yes, the event administrator can assign a unique color to each category he or she creates so that events displayed on the calendar are organized visually by category color.

How do I add images to an event.

Add in the entire URL to the image that has been uploaded within the "Event Image" field. Images are easily uploaded using the "image upload" option.
