Will I have to install special software on my computer so that I can use the Administrator utility of AHOY.COM solutions? |

No. All AHOY.COM solutions are built on Web technology so all you need is a Web browser - either Internet Explorer (5.5 or greater) or Netscape 7.0 (or greater) are recommended. |

What if I get an error attempting to login to the administration area? |

First check to make certain that you have a good internet connection. If you do have a good connection, check to make sure that you have provided the correct username and password - remember, usernames and passwords are CASE SENSITIVE. |

How does the "Ask a Question" feature work?

Site Visitor may send their question to the FAQ administrator via email using the Ask a Question form. The Administrator can choose to answer the question by replying to the email and, if desired, he or she can add the question and answer to the FAQ database from the password-protected administration menu.

Can a FAQ be found in more than one category? |

Yes. Each FAQ can be associated with as many categories as you prefer. |

How many FAQs can I add to the FAQ database?

As many as you want. There is no limit to the number of FAQ questions and answers so create as many as you want.

What can the visitor do if they cannot find a FAQ that addresses their question? |

Visitors to the Web site may submit a question by clicking the Ask a Question button. The form presented to the Visitor displays fields in which his/her name, email address and question can be entered. |

How many questions can I feature in the Newest FAQs list?

As many as you want. The list can be configured to display the newest 5, 10 or any other amount.

As many as you want. The list can be configured to display the top 5, 10 or any other amount.

How do I add a new FAQ?
|

It's simple. Just click the FAQ Maintenance link located in the top navigation. You will be prompted to enter a valid username and password for access to the FAQ Maintenance interface. Click the "Add" button on the FAQ Maintenance page to display the "Add New FAQ" form. Complete the form and click the "Save" button. The FAQ has now been added to the FAQ database and will be immediately available to web site users.

Can I format answers by adding HTML code?

You sure can! Answers can be created in plain text or you can use HTML code to format your answers.

How does the FAQ search work?
|
 |
Simply enter a single keyword into the search box. If more that one keyword is entered in the search box, the FAQ search engine will search for all FAQs that contain either keyword. The keywords will be used to search for FAQs containing those words in their question and answer. Select a category to limit your search results to FAQs from that category only.

How do I remove an existing FAQ?

First, you will need to login to the FAQ Maintenance interface. Just click the "FAQ Maintenance" link located in the top navigation. You will be prompted to enter a valid username and password for access to the FAQ Maintenance interface. Select the FAQ question from the select list and click the "Delete" button located to the right of the list. You will be prompted to confirm the deletion request. Click the "Confirm" button to process the request or click "Cancel" to abort the operation. Upon clicking the "Confirm" button the FAQ will be permanently removed from the FAQ database.
